Where Verizon does well
- Verizon pays all AAA filing/admin/arbitrator fees; $5,000 minimum payout guarantee plus attorneys' fees; small-claims court preserved; 60-day cancel-without-ETF for material adverse changes; 'Your Privacy Choices' opt-out page, honors Global Privacy Control; Custom Experience Plus requires affirmative opt-in.
Your right to sue is waived, and the waiver survives even after you leave.
The fine print
6 clauses and findings from the draft archive, dated 1 October 2026. The plain English comes first; the small print is the company's own words. None of these has been checked yet.

An invented line-item surcharge dressed as a tax, kept by Verizon, changeable at will.
The Administrative and Telco Recovery Charge isn't a tax, it isn't required by law, is not necessarily related to anything the government does, and it is kept by us in whole or in part. The amount… may change over time.

How these were found
Direct verizon.com fetching failed. Used weitzman/difficode verbatim mirrors (customer agreement stamped 'Updated June 16, 2026'; privacy policy crawled ~6 days prior). Cross-checked via search excerpts and FCC order FCC-24-41 ($46.9M fine, upheld Sept 2025). The historical 30-day arbitration opt-out does NOT appear in the current June 2026 agreement — only a bellwether-procedure opt-out exists.
