Where Lennar does well

  • Renewals 0 of 20. Nothing found.
  • Lennar offers a 'Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information' opt-out page and honors it regardless of the visitor's state of residence (many companies limit opt-outs to state-law residents).
  • Sharing with Lennar Affiliates for their marketing requires your opt-in consent, not opt-out.
  • Email marketing unsubscribe and SMS STOP mechanisms are spelled out with concrete processing timeframes (up to ten days for email, up to seven days for texts), and you don't have to consent to promo texts to buy a home.
  • Lennar does not store payment card or bank account information itself — it's processed by a third-party payment processor.
  • The policy includes dedicated California (CCPA) and Texas (TDPSA) rights sections with a right to appeal a denied privacy request.
  • The Terms also give consumers the right to an in-person arbitration hearing in their hometown area, preserve a small-claims-court exception, and commit to JAMS Consumer Minimum Standards on arbitration costs.

Merely browsing lennar.com means you agree that any dispute — over the site, a home search, anything — goes to private JAMS arbitration instead of court.

The fine print

7 clauses and findings from the draft archive, dated 1 October 2026. The plain English comes first; the small print is the company's own words. None of these has been checked yet.

  1. Merely browsing lennar.com means you agree that any dispute — over the site, a home search, anything — goes to private JAMS arbitration instead of court. The same page also says you give up jury trial, give up bringing class actions, and cannot consolidate claims with other buyers.

YOU AND LENNAR AGREE ('ARBITRATION AGREEMENT') THAT ANY DISPUTE OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITES, THESE TERMS OR THE BREACH, TERMINATION, ENFORCEMENT, INTERPRETATION OR VALIDITY THEREOF... SHALL BE DETERMINED BY BINDING ARBITRATION ADMINISTERED BY THE JUDICIAL ARBITRATION AND MEDIATION SERVICES, INC. ('JAMS').

    Terms and Conditions

  2. Arbitration isn't just for the website. The actual home purchase contract and Lennar's warranty route construction-defect disputes into mandatory mediation then binding arbitration, so a buyer with a defective new home can't take Lennar to court either.

If the Dispute is not fully resolved by mediation, the Dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration and administered by the AAA [American Arbitration Association] in accordance with the AAA's Supplemental Rules for Residential Construction Arbitration Rules in effect on the date of the request. // Also: 'you should be aware that this Limited Warranty includes a requirement that all disputes be submitted to binding arbitration.'

Lennar Purchase and Sale Agreement, Section 43.3 (quoted in Florida First DCA decision via CaseMine) and Lennar Limited Warranty (quoted by Inman / Public Citizen) — ; https://www.inman.com/2019/08/20/housing-companies-are-forcing-consumers-into-arbitration/

  3. Lennar can rewrite the rules of using its site whenever it wants, unilaterally, with no required notice to you. If you keep using the site after the change is posted, that counts as you agreeing — and your only way to object is to stop using the site.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify, and/or add to the Terms, in whole or in part, at any time. Such changes will be effective when posted on the Site or on the effective date specified in such updated Terms. Your continued use of the Sites after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms... If you object to any such changes, do not continue to use or access the Sites and your sole recourse will be to stop using the Sites.

    Terms and Conditions

  4. Once you tell Lennar you're interested in a home, they can hand your name, phone, property location, and closing date to third-party vendors (appliances, security, solar, movers) who can then market to you directly — and Lennar may get paid a commission on what you buy from those vendors.

We may share your personal information such as contact details, Lennar property location, and closing date with Business Partners that offer products and services we believe may be of interest to you... Business Partners may use the personal information we provide to market their products and services directly to you... We may receive a commission or other payment if you make a purchase from a Business Partner to whom we provided your personal information.

    Privacy Policy

  5. Facebook, Google, TikTok, Salesforce and others are allowed to track your browsing on lennar.com and stitch that together with data they collect about you elsewhere to build a profile and serve targeted ads — and those platforms can also reuse what they collect to improve their own products.

We authorize advertising networks, social media companies and website analytics providers (such as Facebook and Google) to collect Internet Usage Data on our Sites using cookies, pixels, web beacons, tags and other tracking technologies... These services may use your information collected on our Sites for quality assurance, data aggregation, and machine learning to improve their products and services.

    Privacy Policy

  6. Request a brochure or a tour and Lennar keeps your contact details indefinitely for marketing — you stay an 'active' prospect until you proactively tell them to stop. Buy a home and your data is retained on open-ended grounds like 'to protect our rights,' with no fixed deletion timeline.

if you submit a request for information about our products or services, we will retain your contact and preferences information and consider our relationship to remain active for marketing purposes after fulfilling your request and until we take note that you no longer show interest in our products or services, or you direct us not to continue sending communications to you. // if you purchase a home, we will retain your information as required by contracts, by law, and to protect our rights.

    Privacy Policy

  7. Even if you delete your account and stop using the site, the Terms keep applying to you. And if Lennar sells or transfers its business, it can hand your contract and your data obligations to another company without telling you — while you can't transfer yours to anyone.

These Terms remain in full force and effect notwithstanding any termination of your use of the Sites. // We may assign or transfer these Terms or our rights and obligations under these Terms, in whole or in part, to any third party at any time without notice. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any of your rights and obligations, in whole or in part, without our prior written consent.

How these were found

Privacy Policy read live from https://www.lennar.com/privacypolicy on Oct 1, 2026; document states 'Effective Date: This Privacy Policy is effective as of May 1, 2026.' Terms and Conditions read live from https://www.lennar.com/termsandconditions on Oct 1, 2026 (page content shows the current revision including an AI/chatbot section). No mirrors needed — both documents were directly accessible. The purchase-agreement/warranty arbitration quotes come from court records and press reporting on Lennar contracts (a Florida court decision quoting Lennar PSA Section 43.3; an Inman/Public Citizen report quoting Lennar's Limited Warranty), not from a Lennar-published document, because Lennar does not publish its purchase agreements online. Purchase agreements vary by state and division, so the exact arbitration language a given buyer signs may differ. The data-breach item refers to a class-action filing reported by Mortgage Professional America in August/September 2026 (alleging at least 61,295 affected people and a roughly four-month gap between first intrusion and first customer notice); the allegations have not been tested in court. The Lennar Mortgage privacy-notice quote is from Lennar Mortgage's official federal privacy notice (lennarmortgage.com/App-privacy-policy), which is the lender affiliate's separate published policy.
