Where Crown Castle does well
- Arbitration 4 of 20. Few problems found.
- No forced arbitration or class-action waiver appears anywhere in the public documents — disputes are governed by Delaware law in court, unlike most consumer companies.
- The core contract itself cannot be changed unilaterally: 'This Agreement may be amended only by a written instrument executed by the Parties.' For contact, payment and purchase data the privacy statement explicitly commits: 'We do not share this information with third parties who sell or use the information for their own purposes.' California residents get a full privacy-rights package including opt-out of sale/sharing (with Global Privacy Control support), deletion requests that flow down to service providers, and a right to appeal denials — with a stated non-discrimination promise.
Fiber service contracts auto-renew for another full year unless you give written non-renewal notice at least 90 days before the term ends.
The fine print
6 clauses and findings from the draft archive, dated 1 October 2026. The plain English comes first; the small print is the company's own words. None of these has been checked yet.

Fiber service contracts auto-renew for another full year unless you give written non-renewal notice at least 90 days before the term ends. Miss that 3-month window and you're committed for another year.
The Product Term shall automatically extend for consecutive one-year renewal terms, unless either Party notifies the other of its intent not to renew at least ninety (90) days prior to the expiration of the then-current initial or renewal Product Term.

Your contact details, browsing history and inferred profile can be handed to third parties so they can market to you — and the company admits this may legally count as a 'sale' of your data under California privacy law. You can opt out, but only if you find the buried preference.
We may disclose Personal Information that you provide as described in this Statement: ... to third parties to market their products or services to you by delivering marketing communications, promotional materials, and/or advertisements ... there are instances where we have shared Personal Information in order to provide our customers with personalized services or customized offers ... Crown Castle Terms and Conditions of Service, Version 2.1 (rev 2/11/2019), Sections 3.2 and 3.3
How these were found
Crown Castle (CCI) is a cell-tower REIT selling to carriers, enterprises and governments — there are no consumer contracts to score, so the score is kept modest. Read directly on Oct 1, 2026: (1) the corporate Privacy Statement (https://www.crowncastle.com/privacy-statement, last revised August 1, 2025, read in full via automated fetch), and (2) the Crown Castle Terms and Conditions of Service, Version 2.1 rev 2/11/2019 (31-page B2B fiber license terms, read in full via automated fetch). The fiber terms live under /pdfs/previous-terms-and-conditions/ — they appear to be legacy terms from the fiber business Crown Castle agreed to sell to Zayo/EQT in 2025, but they remain hosted on crowncastle.com, so they were scored with that caveat. The sitemap's /terms-and-conditions page is only a list of legacy FiberNet PDFs, and /general-terms-and-conditions is a JS-gated contact form whose content could not be read — no general website Terms of Use was found. The current tower-business master service agreement is negotiated per customer and not publicly posted, so it could not be scored. No mirrors were used; no documents blocked fetching.
