Where Air Products does well

  • Arbitration 0 of 20. Nothing found.
  • Renewals 0 of 20. Nothing found.
  • No forced arbitration or class-action waiver anywhere — disputes simply go to Pennsylvania courts, which is mild and transparent.
  • The Global Data Privacy Policy states outright that 'Air Products does not sell personal information to third parties.' There are no consumer subscription/auto-renew traps on the site (pure B2B model), and retention is 'not held longer than is necessary' per policy.
  • You get explicit access/correction/deletion rights via privacy@airproducts.com, service providers may not use your data 'except as necessary to perform services,' and the site tells you how to make your browser warn you about cookies.
  • LinkedIn pixel tracking is at least disclosed with an example rather than hidden.

Air Products can rewrite these terms or kill parts of the site whenever it wants with zero notice, and merely visiting the site again afterwards counts as you agreeing to whatever they changed.

The fine print

6 clauses and findings from the draft archive, dated 1 October 2026. The plain English comes first; the small print is the company's own words. None of these has been checked yet.

  1. Air Products can rewrite these terms or kill parts of the site whenever it wants with zero notice, and merely visiting the site again afterwards counts as you agreeing to whatever they changed.

We may, in our sole discretion and at any time, change site content or these terms, conditions and restrictions, or modify or discontinue this site or specific portions of it, without notice. Subsequent re-use of this site shall be deemed an agreement to any previously revised terms, conditions and restrictions.

    Website Terms and Conditions

  2. Anything you send through the site — a message, an idea, even confidential material — is treated as non-confidential, and unless you already have a signed NDA, you automatically hand Air Products ownership (or an unlimited irrevocable license) over anything you send, including your ideas and know-how, for free.

Any information or material sent through this site to Air Products or its Affiliates will be deemed not to be confidential or proprietary... By sending to Air Products or its Affiliates copyrighted, confidential or proprietary information without a confidentiality agreement, you: (i) agree to transfer ownership of such information, including any copyright therein, to Air Products without further compensation; (ii) have automatically granted to Air Products, without further agreement or compensation, an unrestricted, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, display, perform, modify, transmit and distribute such information...

  3. Air Products openly ignores your browser's Do Not Track request and admits it and its partners can track what you do on other websites over time, not just on their site.

Like many other websites and online services, we do not currently process or respond to 'Do Not Track' signals from your browser or to other mechanisms that enable choice. Both we and others (such as our service providers) may collect personal information about our visitors' online activities over time and across third-party websites.

  4. Data you give Air Products can be passed to any of its corporate affiliates, and those affiliates can use it to market to you — internal sharing that still ends up as marketing outreach.

We may share personal information we collect on the Sites with our affiliates, which may use the information for marketing purposes.

  5. Your personal data stays with them for as long as you (or your employer) do any business with them — which for B2B gas contracts can be years — plus extra time for legal/tax reasons. If you want specifics on how long, you have to email them and ask.

Air Products retains data for the duration of the customer's or stakeholder's business relationship with Air Products and in compliance with other legal, tax and operating requirements retention obligations. For more information on where and how long your personal data is stored, please contact the Air Products Privacy Office at privacy@airproducts.com.

  6. For a free site, the maximum you can ever recover from Air Products for harm caused by the site is zero dollars — and they make no promise the information on the site is accurate or current, including safety/technical data.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF AIR PRODUCTS, ITS AFFILIATES OR CONTRACTORS TO YOU FOR DAMAGES, LOSSES AND CAUSES OF ACTION, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE, EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU, IF ANY, FOR ACCESSING THIS SITE. ... we cannot guarantee or warrant completeness or accuracy... How these were found

Both documents are dated 'Last updated: March 2018' (8+ years old), but are the versions currently live. The Website Terms were read directly at https://airproducts.com/legal-notice. The Online Privacy Notice was read via the verbatim mirror at https://www.rotoflow.com/privacy/ (Rotoflow is an Air Products affiliate; the page is titled 'Air Products Online Privacy Notice' and the text matches Air Products' own notice word-for-word, confirmed by the secondary mirror at highendbeds.com/privacy-notice.html); Air Products' own privacy-notice page on airproducts.com was not directly reachable by fetch, so the mirror caveat applies. Air Products is a B2B industrial gases company with almost no consumer surface (bulk gas contracts, distributor portals) — there is no consumer subscription flow to test, so autorenew traps and consumer contract terms were scored on the public site only. A separate page at oldairproducts.com/terms appears unrelated to the current corporate site. No arbitration clause was found anywhere in the documents read.
