Where Willis Towers Watson does well

  • Arbitration 0 of 20. Nothing found.
  • No forced arbitration or class-action waiver anywhere — disputes go to ordinary courts (Croatian courts for the Terms of Business; federal/NY courts for the website terms).
  • Termination is simple one month's notice in writing with no penalty, and complaints can be escalated to the regulator (HANFA).
  • WTW commits to disclose the form of compensation it earns before insurance is purchased, and to treat client confidential information as its own.
  • Privacy notices are GDPR-grade with genuine rights (erasure, portability, objection, and the right to block transfers of your data to unaffiliated third parties for direct marketing), a dedicated data-access email (dataaccessrequest@wtwco.com), and conflict-of-interest procedures that require acting in the client's best interests.
  • Anonymised industry statistics shared with third parties must not reveal confidential client information without consent.

Your company's loss and claims data — the stuff you hand WTW to get insurance placed — can be fed into databases, analytics products and models that WTW markets and sells, including to third parties, and you may never benefit from any of it.

The fine print

6 clauses and findings from the draft archive, dated 1 October 2026. The plain English comes first; the small print is the company's own words. None of these has been checked yet.

  1. Your company's loss and claims data — the stuff you hand WTW to get insurance placed — can be fed into databases, analytics products and models that WTW markets and sells, including to third parties, and you may never benefit from any of it.

WTW may (iii) collect and use the Client's risk, loss, reserve and claims data in the creation, marketing and commercial exploitation of loss databases, analytical or statistical reports, models and tools, insurance and capital markets products (any of which may or may not be used in the services provided to the Client or in services provided to third parties)

  2. Simply hiring WTW gives them blanket permission to put your company's name and logo in their marketing — no separate opt-in or chance to decline is offered.

The Client agrees that WTW may use the Client's company name and logo in marketing materials and internal WTW materials.

  3. Anything you hand WTW can be repurposed to drum up reinsurance business for WTW's insurer clients — with no further notice to you.

WTW may use any information the Client provides, without further notice, for the purpose of: (1) prospecting facultative reinsurance business from prospective insurer clients; (2) placing facultative reinsurance on behalf of insurer clients; and (3) marketing facultative reinsurance with prospective reinsurers on behalf of insurer clients.

  4. On multiyear deals, your fee goes up every year with inflation automatically — unless you negotiated otherwise in writing up front, you don't get to consent to each increase.

Unless the Parties have expressly agreed in writing to the contrary, on multiyear appointments, the remuneration payable to WTW for services provided to the Client shall be increased annually, on each anniversary of the 'Effective Date'... This increase shall be in accordance with the most recent edition at the time of use of the Consumer Price Index.

  5. WTW can rewrite the rules of the engagement on its own — you get 20 business days before the changes hit your existing work, but nothing to sign or approve.

The Client agrees that WTW has a right to amend this document by sending the Client either a notice of amendment in writing or a revised Terms of Business Agreement. Any amendment will apply with immediate effect in relation to any subsequent insurance placement and, in respect of any services provided by WTW in relation to existing placements, on and after the twentieth business day following notice of the amendment sent to the Client

  6. Anything you post on WTW's site becomes theirs to reuse, edit, and republish forever, in any medium — even long after you've left the site.

By submitting content to a forum or any other portion of the website, you automatically grant WTW a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, nonexclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adopt, publish, edit (for length or clarity), translate, create derivative works from, distribute, redistribute, transmit, perform and display such content (in whole or in part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media or technology now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such content.

    Terms of Use

How these were found

Documents read live from wtwco.com on Oct 1, 2026: (1) Terms of Use page (Spanish-locale URL, English text, no version date displayed); (2) Health & Benefits Privacy Notice (en-gb locale, no version date displayed); (3) General Terms of Business Agreement PDF for Willis Towers Watson d.o.o. (Croatia), October 2024. No mirrors or archives were needed. The Croatia Terms of Business is jurisdiction-specific; US/UK terms-of-business versions may differ. WTW is a B2B insurance broker/consultant, so several clauses (data sharing with insurers, insurer remuneration) are industry-standard market practice rather than consumer-style sneakiness; scoring reflects that.
