Where Mondelez International does well

  • Arbitration 3 of 20. Few problems found.
  • Renewals 1 of 20. Few problems found.
  • No forced arbitration clause or class-action waiver was found in any Mondelez document reviewed — disputes go to courts, not private arbitration.
  • Mondelez contractually bars its service providers from using your data for their own purposes: "Our contracts with these service providers do not permit use of your information for their own purposes, including their marketing purposes."
  • Mondelez Canada policy states it does "not share your personally identifiable information with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes without your express consent."
  • Marketing use is consent-based and revocable: consent "is revocable" and you may "revoke your consent for receiving newsletter or marketing communications at any time, free of charge."

Mondelez lets ad-tech vendors track you across the wider web, merge that with data they hold from other sources — including linking your activity across devices via Google — and hands them your email address so you can be matched.

The fine print

6 clauses and findings from the draft archive, dated 1 October 2026. The plain English comes first; the small print is the company's own words. None of these has been checked yet.

  1. Mondelez lets ad-tech vendors track you across the wider web, merge that with data they hold from other sources — including linking your activity across devices via Google — and hands them your email address so you can be matched. Those vendors may then transfer your data onward to others.

Some of our online service providers assist us with online analytics, targeted advertising, embedded videos and other content, social media interactivity and surveys, and these providers may use cookies, web beacons, and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from our Sites and elsewhere on the internet. ... The tracking described above may allow online service providers to collect information about your interaction with our Sites (including IP address) and which they may combine with information they have collected at other times and through other sources (e.g. Google may link your activity on multiple devices if you have a Google account), or with information we provide them such as email addresses.

    Mondelez Privacy Policy (Privacy Notice)

  2. When Mondelez runs joint promotions, apps, or licensed-product tie-ins with other companies, your personal data is disclosed to those partner companies.

We may sometimes offer you a service or application in co-operation with partners (for example, co-sponsors or licensors, licensees or distributors of our branded products). We may therefore need to disclose your Personal Data to those partners.

    Mondelez Privacy Policy (Privacy Notice)

  3. Mondelez can rewrite its privacy policy unilaterally by simply posting a new version on its sites — no email or direct notice to you is required before the changes take effect.

We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time by posting the updated version of the Privacy Notice on our Sites.

    Mondelez Privacy Policy (Privacy Notice)

  4. After you stop using Mondelez sites, your data may be kept for an undefined 'reasonable period,' and instead of deleting it they can simply anonymize it and hold it indefinitely.

We may therefore retain your Personal Data for a reasonable period after your last interaction with us. ... We may, instead of destroying or erasing your Personal Data, make it anonymous so that it cannot be associated with or tracked back to you.

    Mondelez Privacy Policy (Privacy Notice)

  5. Anything you submit — ideas, artwork, suggestions, feedback — becomes Mondelez's property permanently, surviving termination of the agreement. They can use it commercially without paying or crediting you.

Except for any personal information we may collect from you in accordance with our Privacy Policy, all comments, suggestions, ideas, artwork, or other information you transfer to Mondelēz through this web site become the property of Mondelēz, even if this Agreement is later terminated. Mondelēz and its designees are free to copy, disclose, distribute, incorporate, and otherwise use the materials you provide for any and all commercial or non-commercial purposes, without any liability to reimburse you or other for such materials.

User Agreement Terms of Use (Mondelēz International Inc.)

  6. Mondelez can change the terms at any time without notice; merely continuing to visit the site counts as accepting the new terms, and you are expected to keep re-reading them yourself.

Mondelēz also reserves the right to modify the primary and additional terms and notices under which it provides access to this web site, and your continued use of this section after any such modifications shall be deemed acceptance of the modified Terms of Use. You agree to regularly review the Terms of Use to check for any modifications.

How these were found

Sources actually read: (1) the official Mondelez "User Agreement Terms of Use" PDF (hosted on Mondelez brand site alpengoldpromo.ge; PDF body identifies the site owner as Mondelēz International Inc., but the Jurisdiction section shows this version is the Russian-office variant governed by the laws of the Russian Federation; no version date printed in the document; fetched and read in full Oct 1, 2026). (2) The official global "Mondelez Privacy Policy" (Mondelēz International User Privacy Notice) hosted on Mondelez-owned brand site oreostayplayful.com, crawled 5 days prior and read in full (692 lines); the notice itself is dated February 2020 — it is old but is the live, linked policy. The US corporate Privacy Notice page (mondelezinternational.com/privacy-policy/) exists but its body is JavaScript-rendered and could not be read via text fetch. (3) Mondelez Canada foodservice privacy page (older Canada page, used only for a fair point). No verbatim mirror sites were needed. No forced-arbitration or class-action-waiver clause was found in any document reviewed, so the arbitration score reflects absence rather than leniency.
