Where J.B. Hunt does well
- Renewals 0 of 20. Nothing found.
- J.B. Hunt's Privacy Notice for Residents of California and Texas states: 'The Company will not sell or share your Personal Information to third parties for any uses outside of the limited purpose described above,' and provides a sale/sharing opt-out form — cleaner than many ad-tech-heavy peers. The general website privacy policy shows no forced-arbitration clause for ordinary site visitors; arbitration only appears in the Shipper 360 software terms (a B2B portal) and in the independent contractor operating agreement — and that contractor agreement lets the contractor opt out of arbitration within 30 days in writing (legal@jbhunt.com) without losing the business relationship, which is more generous than most forced-arbitration regimes. The public biometric-information policy requires notice and consent before collecting biometrics, explicitly prohibits selling, leasing, trading, or profiting from biometric information, and mandates permanent destruction within two years after employment or contract ends. There is no consumer subscription product, so there are no auto-renewal traps to find; the Carrier 360 Quick Pay 1.5% fee is disclosed up front and is waived for loads booked through Carrier

The fine print
6 clauses and findings from the draft archive, dated 1 October 2026. The plain English comes first; the small print is the company's own words. None of these has been checked yet.

If you ship freight through J.B. Hunt's Shipper 360 portal, you give up your right to sue in court and to join any class action — disputes must go to private binding arbitration in Benton County, Arkansas (J.B. Hunt's home county), under AAA commercial rules.
In the event of a dispute between You and JBHT related to these Terms and Conditions or Your use of the Software, You and JBHT agree that such dispute will be submitted to binding arbitration in Benton County, Arkansas, pursuant to the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, as then in effect. You further agree that no arbitrator may order, permit, or certify a class action, representative action, private attorney general litigation, or consolidated arbitration in connection with the agreement to arbitrate in these Terms and Conditions.

Simply by using the Shipper 360 platform you consent to J.B. Hunt harvesting your device identifiers and advertising IDs and using them for sales, marketing, recruiting, and to serve you ads — not just to run the shipping software.
By using the Software, You consent to the transmission of Your unique device identification, advertising identifier, user identification, and other persistent identifiers (collectively, 'Device ID') to JBHT and consent to JBHT's receiving, collecting, storing, processing, transmitting, and using such Device ID for Software functionality, for JBHT's internal business purposes (including, without limitation, business analytics, sales, marketing, and recruiting), and to serve advertising.

By giving J.B. Hunt your phone number (e.g., on a driver job application), you promise not to sue them over anything arising from their texts or autodialed calls to you — a blanket promise-not-to-sue buried in SMS terms, on top of an indemnity clause making you cover their legal costs from such communications.
YOU KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY AGREE NOT TO SUE, OR CAUSE ANY LAWSUIT, COMPLAINT, CLAIM, OR CHARGE TO BE FILED ON YOUR BEHALF AGAINST J.B. HUNT OR ITS VENDORS WITH RESPECT TO ANY SUCH DAMAGES.

New terms can be bolted onto your agreement later through a text message opt-in — the SMS terms can keep growing after you've agreed, rather than being fixed when you signed up.
Additional terms and conditions may be provided to you in the future (e.g., as part of an opt-in confirmation SMS text message), and such terms and conditions will supplement and not replace these terms.

You must bring any claim within 12 months of the event or you lose it entirely — shorter than typical statutes of limitations — and J.B. Hunt disclaims liability for virtually all damages from using the platform.
YOU WAIVE THE RIGHT TO ASSERT A CLAIM AGAINST JBHT MORE THAN TWELVE (12) MONTHS AFTER THE FIRST EVENT OR FACT THAT GIVES RISE TO THE CLAIM. YOU AGREE THAT IN NO EVENT WILL JBHT NOR ANY OTHER PARTY INVOLVED IN CREATING, PRODUCING, OR DELIVERING THE SOFTWARE BE LIABLE TO ANY PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR ACCESS TO, OR USE OF, THIS SOFTWARE...
How these were found
1) J.B. Hunt's Shipper 360 Terms and Conditions PDF (https://www.jbhunt.com/content/dam/jbhunt/ics/shipper-360/Shipper_360_Terms_and_Conditions_200812.pdf, filename suggests Aug 2012 version) now renders as a marketing page when fetched directly — the company appears to have moved or removed it. Its clauses were captured from search-engine cached snippets served from the jbhunt.com domain (last crawled ~243 days before research; doc last updated ~5.75 years before research). 2) The 12-month claim-waiver clause (Limitation of Liability) was captured from a third-party page hosting a same-titled mirror of the Shipper_360_Terms_and_Conditions_200812.pdf document — treat it as a verbatim mirror, not confirmed from jbhunt.com. 3) The jbhunt.com Privacy Policy fetch only exposed the lower sections (protection, children, contributed materials, biometric policy, copyright/cookies); the upper sections on collection/sharing were not served — so data-sharing practices could not be fully assessed. 4) The drivers.jbhunt.com SMS/Telephone Terms are a duplicate of the jbhunt.com/sms-policy page (updated June 15, 2025). 5) J.B. Hunt is predominantly B2B (trucking/logistics); there is no consumer-facing subscription product, so auto-renewal traps are essentially nonexistent, and the arbitration/device-tracking findings apply mainly to shippers/carriers using the 360 portals. 6) Independent contractor arbitration terms (30-day opt-out) were read from the contractor operating agreement filed as a public court exhibit (Case 5:24-cv-05175-TLB, archive.org), not from jbhunt.com.
