Where Genuine Parts Company does well
- Renewals 0 of 20. Nothing found.
- The main website Terms of Use contain NO forced arbitration — disputes go to Georgia state courts, and NAPA Rewards program disputes go to Cobb County, GA courts; the arbitration bite only attaches to the optional SMS service.
- Even the SMS arbitration clause has consumer-friendly cost terms: NAPA pays all filing, administration, and arbitrator fees beyond the initial AAA filing fee (for sub-$1,000 claims it covers them), prevailing consumers on sub-$10,000 claims can recover reasonable attorneys' fees, and NAPA won't pursue attorneys' fees except for frivolous claims.
- The California Privacy Rights Notice states they have not 'sold' California personal information in the last 12 months under CCPA's definition.
- 'We do not store credit card information on our servers or systems.'
- NAPA Rewards membership is free and members can cancel and delete their Rewards account at any time.
The moment you opt into NAPA texts — even for an abandoned-cart reminder — you agree to binding arbitration and give up class actions, jury trials, and most court access for nearly any dispute 'relating to... your relationship with NAPA.' The clause is deliberately written to be interpreted 'broadly,' including TCPA claims.
The fine print
6 clauses and findings from the draft archive, dated 1 October 2026. The plain English comes first; the small print is the company's own words. None of these has been checked yet.

By opting into or using the NAPA text message service (the 'Text Message Service'), you accept these Terms & Conditions and agree to resolve disputes with NAPA through binding arbitration (and with very limited exceptions, not in court), and you waive any right to participate in class actions... Any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms & Conditions, your access to or participation in the Text Message Service, or your relationship with NAPA (whether based in contract, tort, statute, fraud, misrepresentation or any other legal theory) will be resolved by binding arbitration, except that either of us may take claims to small claims court if they qualify for hearing by such a court.

NAPA can rewrite the site terms whenever it wants, with zero notice, and the new rules apply the instant they're posted. You 'agree' simply by continuing to browse — classic browsewrap, so you could be bound by terms you never saw.
Accordingly, we reserve the right, in our sole discretion, at any time and without notice, to add to, change, update, modify or remove any portion of these Terms and Conditions of Use, and any such addition, change, update, modification or removal will be effective immediately upon its posting on this Website... You agree that your continued use of this Website constitutes an agreement to these Terms and Conditions.

If NAPA decides the price on your order was a mistake, it can cancel it even after your order was confirmed and your card charged. Your only recourse is a refund — no price honor, no compensation for the delay or wasted trip.
NAPA Auto Parts reserves the right to cancel or refuse fulfillment of any order placed for an item at an incorrect price, even if the order has been confirmed and the payment has been processed. If your payment has already been processed for a canceled order due to a pricing error, NAPA will issue a full refund.

NAPA shares your personal data — including your SMS opt-in/consent status — with SMS platforms, wireless carriers, and other vendors, and openly lists 'market our or their products or services to you' as a reason for handing your info to third parties. They also buy data about you from marketing agencies and analytics providers and merge it into your profile.
We may share your personal information, however, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to our SMS platform providers, wireless carriers and other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages. [Also: 'To third parties to market our or their products or services to you' — sharing purposes include marketing.]

Whatever went wrong, you lose the right to sue after one year — a much shorter fuse than the multi-year statutes of limitations most states would otherwise give you. The same terms also make you 'defend, indemnify and hold harmless' NAPA and a long list of affiliates for any claims tied to your use of the site, lawful or not.
Any claims arising in connection with your use of this Website or any Content must be brought within one (1) year of the date of the event giving rise to such action or be forever barred.

The only deletion path offered covers data you directly provided, via your account page — there's no stated retention period and no delete option for the automatically collected tracking data (IP, device IDs, browsing activity). NAPA also explicitly ignores Do Not Track signals, so your browser's privacy request is dead on arrival.
You can access your personal information to update, correct, add, or delete the data you have provided to us. To do so, access the 'Your Account' page of the website with your e-mail account and password. ... As of the Effective Date above, there is no commonly accepted response for Do Not Track signals initiated by browsers. Therefore, we do not respond to such signals.
How these were found
All documents accessed October 1, 2026. Terms & Conditions page (https://www.napaonline.com/en/terms-conditions) carries footer '© 2025 Genuine Parts Company' with no explicit last-updated date. The Privacy Notice served at /en/oldprivacy is dated Effective Date 10/1/2020 — six years old. The current Online Privacy Policy at /en/privacy (which search crawls show now includes newer SMS opt-in sharing, loyalty-program, and precise-location language) redirected to a store-locator page during direct fetch, so its quotes below come from verbatim search-result snippets from the official napaonline.com domain rather than a full page read. SMS Terms & Conditions, NAPA Rewards Program Details, and the California Privacy Rights Notice (/en/privacy/ccpa) were all read in full. No verbatim third-party mirrors (OpenTermsArchive, etc.) were needed.
