Where Apollo Global Management does well

  • Arbitration 3 of 20. Few problems found.
  • Renewals 0 of 20. Nothing found.
  • Data sharing 4 of 20. Few problems found.
  • No forced arbitration or class-action waiver appears anywhere in the documents — disputes go to court (albeit only in NYC).
  • Apollo explicitly states 'We do not sell your personal information and have not done so in the last 12 months' and 'do not share' personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under CCPA definitions.
  • The policy states no sensitive personal information is collected from website visitors.
  • CCPA rights (access, delete, correct) are honored with a toll-free number (833-271-8296) and dedicated email (privacy@apollo.com).
  • The privacy notice even contains a public disclaimer correcting third-party credit-monitoring firms that misattribute Apollo.io's July 2018 data breach to Apollo Global Management.
  • Consumer surface is minimal: no subscriptions, auto-renewals, accounts, or in-app purchases exist on the public site.

Apollo can rewrite its Terms whenever it wants with no advance warning, and simply visiting the site afterward counts as you agreeing to the new terms.

The fine print

6 clauses and findings from the draft archive, dated 1 October 2026. The plain English comes first; the small print is the company's own words. None of these has been checked yet.

  1. Apollo can rewrite its Terms whenever it wants with no advance warning, and simply visiting the site afterward counts as you agreeing to the new terms.

Apollo reserves the right, at our discretion, to change these Terms at any time without prior notice. The revised Terms will become effective at the time of posting, and any use of the Sites after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

    Terms of Use

  2. Anything you submit via contact forms or email — comments, ideas, suggestions — becomes Apollo's forever: they can reuse, publish, and build on it royalty-free, your feedback ideas are fully assigned to them with no payment, and they won't treat anything you send as confidential.

By submitting any User Materials, you hereby grant to Apollo an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, sublicensable license to use, display, reproduce, publish, transmit, store, modify and create derivative works of your User Material. [...] you hereby assign to Apollo all rights in the Feedback and agree that Apollo may use such Feedback for any purpose without compensation to you. Apollo will treat all User Materials and Feedback as non-confidential and non-proprietary.

    Terms of Use

  3. Emails and calls with Apollo staff may be recorded and kept, including their actual content, for compliance reasons — ordinary outreach can end up in their surveillance archives.

If you communicate with our employees and other staff members via email, telephone, or other electronic channels, our information technology systems record details of those communications, sometimes including their content, for compliance and record-keeping purposes.

    Privacy Policy

  4. No matter what goes wrong — data breach, errors on the site, negligence — Apollo's total liability is capped at what you paid to use the site, which for a free website is $0.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE TOTAL LIABILITY (IF ANY) OF APOLLO AND ITS AFFILIATES TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES, AND CAUSES OF ACTION [...] EXCEED IN THE AGGREGATE THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO APOLLO, IF ANY, FOR YOUR ACCESS TO THE SITES.

    Terms of Use

  5. Your personal data stays with Apollo for an unspecified period even after you stop dealing with them, and even a formal CCPA deletion request can be partially refused under exceptions they choose to invoke.

We retain your personal information for as long as we have a relationship with you and for a period after our relationship with you has ended. [...] We also reserve the right to retain, and not to delete, certain personal information after receipt of a Request to Delete from you where permitted by the CCPA or another law or regulation.

    Privacy Policy

  6. You cannot sue Apollo anywhere except New York County, New York — all disputes are funneled into Apollo's home courts.

ANY DISPUTE OR ACTION AT LAW OR IN EQUITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SITE SHALL BE COMMENCED ONLY IN THE STATE OR FEDERAL COURTS LOCATED IN NEW YORK COUNTY, NEW YORK AND YOU HEREBY CONSENT AND SUBMIT TO THE PERSONAL JURISDICTION OF SUCH COURTS FOR THE PURPOSES OF ANY SUCH DISPUTE OR ACTION.

How these were found

Terms of Use read from a verbatim mirror at midcapfinancialic.com (a MidCap Financial/Apollo-affiliate site) because apollo.com's own Terms page could not be fetched directly; the mirrored text explicitly governs Apollo Global Management, Inc.'s Sites including AGM.com and states 'Last updated November 2021'. Privacy Policy read directly from apollo.com/governance/privacy-policy, header-dated 'As of November 2025'. Search snippets from ir.apollo.com's older, shorter Privacy Policy were cross-checked but not relied on. No arbitration clause was found in either document. Apollo is a B2B/institutional asset manager: its public surface is an informational site with no consumer accounts or transactions, so several sneakiness categories (auto-renew, data monetization) had little or nothing to evaluate; score is kept modest accordingly. Investor and applicant data are covered by separate notices that were not reviewed.

These notes come from the original draft and are not independent verification.
